Łukasz Pietrzak

Łukasz Pietrzak holds a Master of Pharmacy degree and is a qualified first aid responder, combat medic, and analyst. In 2007, he graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Medical University of Białystok with a degree in Pharmacy. During his studies, he spent two years conducting academic research at the Department of Pharmacodynamics, working on experimental animal models.

After graduation, he worked as a pharmacist and later as a pharmacy manager in numerous pharmacies across Poland.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he prepared studies on medical data and epidemiological analyses, which were widely cited in academic publications and the media. As an expert, he appeared in numerous television programmes, providing education on pharmacy and medicine safety. He is the author of many popular science articles explaining issues related to pharmacotherapy. He also co-authored hundreds of articles published in online media, addressing topics related to health and pharmacy.

He participated in the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination programme, working at the vaccination centre at the Legia Warsaw stadium and establishing a pharmacy-based vaccination site.

From February 2023 to July 2024, he served as a pharmacist in the Humanitarian and Medical Aid Team operating under the Prime Minister of Poland. As part of the team’s activities, he took part in foreign missions to war-affected regions. On 24 July 2024, Prime Minister Donald Tusk appointed him Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector.
