It is also an osmotic process in which the impact of society and the environment in which we live is equally important.Technology is a double-edged sword, the only question is, do we know how to use it responsibly?

Polish best practices in sustainable urban mobility – Is it all about infrastructure?

Over the last two decades Polish transport policies evolved from necessary upgrades of infrastructure into providing mobility and decreasing impact of transport systems to the environment – including human. The presentation contains description of best practices in promoting sustainable urban mobility, such as construction of a new urban railway line in Gdańsk, woonerfs (high quality public space roads) in Łódź, electromobility in Jaworzno or Poland-wide cycling promotion campaign. We’ll concentrate not only on big infrastructure, but also on changing users’ habits and getting social acceptance for non-motorized transport’s priority.

Panelist: Michał Wolański, Ph.D. SGH Warsaw School of Economics
